Traceability with an automated test line

  • run through the depaneling and test line after passing the AOI
  • fully automated process
  • individually created test programs
  • examination of various electrical properties
  • automatic assessment of required component values

Digitization enables end-to-end traceability

At the start of the manufacturing process, a laser is used to apply a data matrix code to every panel of the circuit board. This does not take up much space and enables traceability in the further production process. With each production or control step, the good status is recorded in a database. The ICT and the automatic panel separator release the consistently well-tested parts for further processing. The assignment is done by scanning the code. According to the good / bad sorting, the unusable circuit boards are placed on a separate tray after separation and thus sorted out. The result is documented in a traceability-compliant database. With the high-speed depaneling system in use at GBS, this process takes place fully automatically, reliably and in a matter of seconds.

Maximum flexibility through double-track

The line solution from ASYS consists of two loading / unloading systems, a test cell and several handling modules. The special thing about it: It can be operated in three different modes, each of which handles the processes of separation, testing and filing. In the first mode, the machine divides a panel into individual panels, tests them and then stacks them in a magazine. In this setting, the line is loaded from one side. In the second mode, the printed circuit boards are tested in the panel and then separated from the panel and stored. The third mode enables the system to be loaded from two sides. The process becomes more flexible because two different products can now be processed on the line at the same time.
